Outsourced – the Movie

Recently, I saw this movie called Outsourced - A Hollywood movie, made in India with lot of things that I can relate to. It talked a lot about India and a lot about my present life-style.

I liked the way the story was written. I liked the way they described little emotions of Indian youth who work and live in call centers. The small talks – the training sessions – the queries of the employees – the location of the international call center – the way they talked with the customers – the emotion attached to their work – everything shown in the movie was something I could relate to very easily. I would suggest all the call center employees of India to take out some time and watch the movie. There is something for everyone in the movie. It’s not something very deep that you need to think of, but then, it touches every aspect of the life of a call center employee in India.

Mates, you gotta like it!

When the call center he manages in Seattle is outsourced to India, Todd
travels there to train his replacement. Housed in a new building that looks like
an above-ground bunker, the call center is staffed by willing novices whom Todd
trains to sound American. One star on the staff is Asha, who teaches Todd that
he should learn about India, and proceeds to do just that.

I learnt: in India, everything is possible – there is always a way, only if you have the will!
