A Quote for life!

“A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly.

Tomorrow may never come

Talking to Myself!

Today Tan, just ask yourself:
What have you done since morning & what will you do till you sleep?
Have you done something for yourself, that satisfies you?
Something for the soul?
Are there things lined up to do next?
Do these things excite you?
Did you triumph on anything yet? Is there a scare of failure in something you're going to do today?
Is there a plan for tomorrow?

If the answer to these is NO, then probably you have to look at the situation more keenly!

Setup an agenda & work towards it today.
You can't do it tomorrow.
For tomorrow may never come!

Who are you?

Reacting to the news saying the attackers in Dhaka attack were well educated & from respected families.
-------***-------***-------

God only knows how many around us are getting brainwashed right now by these radical and cunning groups who are making fun of religions and these fools don't even know what they're getting into. While education should help rationalize their acts, these days more and more educated people are being used by these inhuman & less human groups to get their work done. The ones who proudly act like giving up their own selves, families, friends & lives for a bigger cause are merely fools & puppets in the hands of anti social beings. Sadly, these people from both the groups are present in houses near us, around us and within us. Some hold up the gun, some get into politics, some mock entertainment for us & few get into academics teaching the young generation openly in colleges and universities, what they teach terrorists in remote jungles & hilltops, hiding from the mass. And those who do not fall in any of these groups, take to the social media and still continue motivated heinous acts - spreading terrorism, separatism & anti national thoughts & acts. All these from behind the veil of education, college degrees and professional experiences. The worst thing is that they themselves do not realize what they're doing - they think its great for themselves, their families, their faiths & beliefs, their community and above all, their religions.

The one who is the least knowledgeable on religion is the one who shouts in the loudest of the voices!

Before sharing one more post (or doing anything) triggering hatred, ask yourself what you are doing and if you really are equipped with knowledge & authority to do that. Simply ask - Who am I to do so?

If you get an answer that you should still spread wrath & fear, repeat the above task until you're sure that you are not supposed to do that... All the best!

What's wrong with this guy?

[3/17, 2:56 AM] Tan 💖:
Today, I was talking to a guy, about 26 years old, from UP, working in HP for last 2 years, an engineering graduate, rearing to do MBA, who's all over his office festival, key member of his college groups and arranges outings & events for both office & friends, is very fit - runs in gym continuously for over an hour - and is always ready to help, is polite, humble & obedient to family, friends & employers.

However, when I was talking to him, I found out that he does not know about Bofors issue, India's Nuclear Deal with America, World Wars, Gulf War, Kargil war, America's war in Iraq & Afghanistan & even Saddam Hussein! All that he told me is that Osama is not dead & is still loitering around at some place identified by someone, sometime ago.

He doesn't know who won the World Cup Cricket a couple of years ago. Interest नहीं है. Neither in sports, and obviously nor in politics or history.

He assured me he knows everything about Mahabharat. So I asked, who had 100 sons (to follow up with the real question, who else?) He replied, Draupadi...

That's when I bid him good night and left for a cigarette.

Is this actually the case with our education today? I really felt terrible after talking to him.

Just wanted to share with you guys, because we have spent some time together, learning new things. And I'm so damn sad with this situation. Was this लाखों लोगों में एक लड़का, या फिर there are more like this in this generation? And who represents them? Rahul Gandhi? No wonder!!

What to do?

Hi friends,

Here I am with the most sorted answer to a question that we often ask ourselves - WHAT TO DO?

Not many of us know what to do, I thought. In reality, most do! They know that they've to wake up at 6 am, go to gym for an hour, have breakfast, go to the market, come back & take bath, get ready and go to office, work for a stipulated time, come back home, spend time with family, dine & hit the sack by 10 pm. Few do this happily everyday & are contended. Few earnestly want to do this everyday & are sure that they'll start this from next Monday. And a majority of those who know what to do, consider themselves rebels & do not want to remain bound by such earthly plans - they don't follow what they know - and are in search of Nirvana! That sums up almost every one, with their own schedules.

However, most of us fall flat when we extend this question with two words - with life. What to do with life? Now the situation changes by a lot, doesn't it?

Yes! Today I'm going to talk about this. What to do with life?

There's lot many things that can be and should be done - Global, national, political, economic, social, cultural and personal! It actually boils down to personal choice and our choices tell us what we can do with life. People who have questioned themselves and have searched for an answer have their own list of things that they want to do in life and with their lives. I'm sure that the list is not a short one. At least for those who are adventurous & not focused on specialization have a long list. Specialization has its own benefits, but not many are specialized. Most people, like me, tend to do multiple things. Few have focused list of multiple things and most have a vague idea, which they regard as a list of things they want to do. Once we have that list created, the next question comes in mind - which of these items in the list can be done? Again, many of that list can be done & few cannot be done, depending on our selection. The topic of this discussion is to find out what to do from the final list of things that can be done!

With this one life where we are bound to grow up and old every day, comprising of mere 24 hours, we have always a crunch for time. So, how to do all those that we intend to do? We have to use the principle of deduction, where we make a list of things that we should & can do, and keep on striking out those which can't be done due to time crunch and various other excuses that we can give ourselves. This should give us at least a few items that we can do. This is the only valid way of finding out what we can do in life and what we should do with our lives. This is a proven method and I'm sure if we do this, we can at least get down to a focused list. We can definitely achieve success doing these things religiously & repeatedly. But achieving success doing these things is a completely different topic, and we will talk about that some other time.

The reader should understand that I'm not focusing on specialization here, which would challenge the very quote on top of my blog, which I earnestly believe in. If you don't want to be a specialized & successful insect in life, you can follow this method to build the road to success.

I hope this helps you or anyone else who wants to do something in life. If you have any comments or suggestions, please use the comment section below. I'd like to know that as well...

Cheers!

The Blogger Android App!

Good Morning! February 16th, 2016.

It's been a year since my first book was published. Time flies, for real!

This is going to be a short post. It's just to celebrate & tell you that I found the much awaited Blogger Android App! I always thought it would be there. I always wanted it. I always felt I'll blog more frequently if I'm doing that from my mobile. But I failed to bring these three together and finally one fine morning, which is today, I went to Google Play Store, searched, found, downloaded, installed that app & see, I'm blogging now - right from my mobile!

Hope this helps & boosts my blogging habit. Only time will tell...

Take care my friends. Hope to talk to you soon again. If you have anything to say, please use the comment section below.

Cheers!
